Dutch Interpreting - Understanding the Dutch Language

Dutch Interpreting - Understanding the Dutch Language
Introduction
English has always been the universal language. Although considered as such, locals from every country still find it difficult to study English and prefer to use their native languages for everyday speech. There is no problem whatsoever with this practice although it is preferred that the English language be known by everyone for better communication. One of the countries that do this practice is the Netherlands, which uses the Dutch language. The Dutch language carries its roots from West Germany and is Native only to three countries – Netherlands, Belgium, and Suriname which are all part of the Dutch Language Union.

Importance of the Dutch Language
The Dutch language is very important both in economical and historical value. Dutch interpreting has led to great business relations with the Dutch. Almost $17.3 billion is being used every year to acquire exports from the Dutch. Petroleum products and industrial machinery have been their leading exports as of date. Coal, Tin, and passenger cars are also major exports that we use in our everyday lives. From the historical standpoint, interpretation of the Dutch language has led to great discoveries and insights to the history of the Dutch people. Because of their colonial legacy, understanding the Dutch language is very important when it comes to the history of South-East Asia, the Caribbean, and other colonial states.
The language interpreting service was established to facilitate conversations between heads of countries. In the modern setting, language interpretation is more of a business venture rather than for diplomatic purposes. The Dutch language is no stranger when it comes to language interpretation. Apart from tourists, intellectual people such as university professors engage in this business because of the Dutch’s historical roots. Books and journal articles that were otherwise unreadable because of the Dutch language are now readable and may be used for future references. Business meetings between two companies may also require the Dutch interpreting service.
Final Words
The Dutch language, as with all other languages, must never die out. It would be a disaster especially to the historical community if any book or source of knowledge cannot be translated because of the death of this language. It is highly encouraged that everyone be at least bilingual so that at least their native language is preserved. It is also encouraged that college students take up one language course and that the Dutch language be added to the list of available courses.
